Terms of Use & Conditions

1. Purpose of the Application
The LawPoint App (the “Application”) functions as a digital platform connecting individuals/citizens (“Users”) with licensed lawyers in Greece (“Lawyers”).

  • Users can locate available Lawyers through the emergency legal help button, which prioritizes based on proximity.

  • Users may subscribe for premium access to enhanced services.

  • Lawyers can create and edit their profiles, as well as manage incoming requests.

  • The Application itself does not provide legal advice and does not operate as a law firm. The Company’s role is limited to providing the technological infrastructure for communication.

2. Eligibility & Registration

  • Users must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into binding agreements.

  • Lawyers must hold a valid license issued by a Greek Bar Association and provide appropriate professional documentation during registration.

  • Users are required to provide true, accurate, and complete information during registration and maintain the confidentiality of their account credentials.

  • Any account created with false, misleading, or incomplete information may be suspended or terminated.

3. Subscriptions & Payments

  • Some basic features of the Application may be available free of charge.

  • Full access requires an active subscription (monthly/annual).

  • Trial periods may be offered for promotional or marketing purposes.

  • Payments are processed exclusively via licensed EU payment providers (EMIs).

  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.

  • Users may cancel their subscription at any time through their account settings. No refunds will be issued for unused subscription periods.

  • The Company may suspend access in case of failed payments or chargebacks.

4. User Obligations
Users agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration details.

  • Use the Application in compliance with applicable laws and these Terms.

  • Refrain from misusing, interfering with, or attempting to disrupt the Application or the services of Lawyers.

  • Refrain from unauthorized use of another User’s account.

5. Role of the Company
The Company:

  • Provides only the technical infrastructure of the Application.

  • Does not provide, endorse, or guarantee the quality, outcome, or content of any legal service provided by Lawyers.

  • Is not a party to any legal or contractual relationship between User and Lawyer.

6. Lawyers – Professionals
Participating Lawyers:

  • Are solely responsible for the legality, quality, and accuracy of the services they provide.

  • Must comply with the Code of Conduct of Lawyers and all applicable laws.

  • Bear exclusive liability for their professional obligations towards Users.

7. Verification & Compliance (KYC/AML)

  • To ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) obligations, the Company may request additional documentation such as: Government-issued identification, Proof of residence (e.g., utility bill, tax certificate) and Professional identity documents (e.g., Bar Association ID for Lawyers).

  • Users who fail or refuse to provide adequate KYC/AML documentation may have their accounts suspended or terminated.

  • The Company may share relevant data with competent authorities when legally required.

  • KYC/AML data is retained for a minimum of five (5) years after termination of the business relationship, in accordance with applicable law.

8. Limitation of Liability
The Company provides only a technological platform and does not provide legal services. Accordingly, the Company is not liable for:

  • the quality, accuracy, or effectiveness of services provided by Lawyers,

  • financial disputes or disagreements between Users and Lawyers,

  • inability to find an available Lawyer at the time of request,

  • delays, cancellations, or failed communications,

  • any damages, losses, or expenses arising from the cooperation (or lack thereof) between User and Lawyer.

The Application is provided “as is”, without any warranty of continuous availability or error-free performance. Any agreement, contract, or payment between a User and a Lawyer takes place exclusively between them.

9. Indemnification
Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company, its officers, and employees from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • violation of these Terms,

  • misuse of the Application,

  • disputes or damages resulting from relationships with Lawyers.

10. Termination & Suspension
The Company reserves the right to:

  • Suspend or terminate any account that breaches these Terms,

  • Deny access in cases of suspected fraud, misuse, or non-compliance with KYC/AML obligations,

  • Terminate the service at its discretion, with prior notice where reasonable.

11. Personal Data
Processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with the
GDPR and the Company’s Privacy Policy. Please refer to the Privacy Policy for details.

12. Intellectual Property
All content of the Application (logos, software, texts, designs, graphics, databases) constitutes the intellectual property of the Company and is protected by Greek and EU law.

13. Force Majeure
The Company shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to strikes, natural disasters, acts of government, network outages, or cyberattacks.

14. Amendments
The Company may update these Terms at any time. Users will be informed of changes through the Application or by email. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by
Greek law. The courts of Athens, Greece shall have exclusive jurisdiction for any disputes.

16. Severability & Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the User and the Company regarding the use of the Application.

Disclaimer
The LawPoint Application operates solely as a technological platform that facilitates communication between Users and independent Lawyers. The Company does not provide legal services, legal advice, or representation under any circumstances.

The Company does not endorse, verify, or guarantee the qualifications, competence, or performance of Lawyers listed on the Application. Any professional relationship, agreement, or transaction between Users and Lawyers is conducted independently of the Company and at the sole responsibility of the parties involved. Every financial transaction for the undertaking of a case is made directly between a lawyer and a citizen. LawPoint does not collect a share or percentage of lawyers' fees. Due to the nature of the service and the connection of the subscription only with the technological access to the network, the platform is not considered 4194/2013

Users acknowledge and accept that the Company bears no civil, criminal, or other liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from: reliance on legal advice or services obtained through the Application, the quality, accuracy, or timeliness of services provided by Lawyers, disputes, fees, or claims between Users and Lawyers.

By using the Application, Users expressly agree that they do so at their own sole risk.
